Beast of Bladenboro Festival

October 25, 2008 W4BLA will again be set up for a special event in Bladenboro, North Carolina. The event starts at 09:00 am through 11:00 pm.
The Beast of Bladenboro was shown on the HISTORY CHANNEL and is a local event and we bring ham radio to show locals what ham radio is all about. This event is listed in QST and on the ARRL web site.
So if you can not attend the event join us on the air and lets have fun with ham radio.

Dublin Peanut Festival

September 20, 2008 W4BLA will have a Special Event Station setup at the 16th annual Dublin Peanut Festival in Dublin, North Carolina. It’s a local fun day for residents in Bladen County and vistors. The activities starts at 10:00 am with a parade, which W4BLA will be in, with lots of entertainment for all.
W4BLA is showing local folks what ham radio is all about. The event is posted in QST and on the ARRL web site as a special event. The event is to help train up new operators to give them experience in operating procedures so they will be confident in emergency conditions.
Please join us if not at the Festival at least on the air for a fun day with ham radio.

Harmony Hall

The www.harmonyhallnc.com site has been secured for a W4BLA special event. Harmony Hall is located in White Oak, N. C. and is one of the most history laden sites in Bladen County. Their web site has all the details. Dates will be 12:00 noon Friday October 03, 2008 through 12:00 noon Sunday October 05,2008. Details of the event will follow in the President’s corner as they develop.
